What does Justice mean to a Catholic in today’s world? What are Catholic Social Teachings and how do they apply to your life? Come and find out as the Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) ministry leads us on a journey June 28th from 1:00-3:00 PM in which we will share the Scriptural basis for Justice through prayer, group discussions, talks and a fun yet challenging global role play game. This event will be a prayerful, informative and an enjoyable afternoon ending with an ice cream social provided by O-Hi Frosty. Workshops for adults and younger participants will be provided as we grow in faith together. Come and share your faith with others as you dive deeper into Catholic Teachings on Social Justice. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at email@example.com. We hope to see you there.

My sisters and brothers in Christ,
Mi hermanas y hermanos en Cristo,
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my reassignment to our Augustinian parish in Los Angeles, Our Mother of Good Counsel, as per my provincial’s and pastor’s request and recommendations. My start date there is January 21, 2012.
I am humbled by your years of prayers and support, and I am grateful to God and all of you for having been assigned here at St. Thomas. I will miss all of you, as you have a special place in my heart.
I must also see this as God’s will for me. He blesses us with so many opportunities, and this new assignment will give me more experiences that I need in my priestly formation. Hence I see this as something very good for me, something that I will benefit from in the long run, even though it’s painful to have to leave this wonderful parish for now. (I pray that someday I will be blessed to be able to return here.)
I humbly ask that you keep me in your prayers, and I look forward to the time we have left together. Many of God’s best blessings to everyone here at St. Thomas, as I am gratefully,
In Christ and Augustine,

These are the great pictures Sharon Tremondt took. This day’s celebrations were by far the largest single day attended with over 1300 people sharing our faith and love of our Lady of Guadalupe. Thanks to all who attended. It was a blessing to share this beautiful day with all of you.
As more pictures come in, I’ll go through them and add them here.
It was truly an awesome day. Thank you Lord!!!
