Bible Studies
Dr. Carol Cowgill will be leading bible studies from the Old and New Testaments on the following topics:
- Christian Spirituality: Living and Praying the Beatitudes (Jan – Feb)
- Women Beyond Stereotypes: Old Testament (Feb – Mar)
- Women Beyond Stereotypes: New Testament (Mar – Apr)
- The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola (Sep)

Christian Spirituality: Living and Praying the Beatitudes
This is a six-week study of what it means to be blessed and to bless God. The course will begin January 9, 2017 and will meet in the Aquinas Center Library.
- Class 1 – Mondays 5:00-6:30 p.m. Jan 9, 16, 23 & 30; Feb 6 & 13
Women Beyond Stereotypes: Old Testament
This is a five-week course that tries to nuance our understanding of women's role in salvation history. All classes will meet in the Aquinas Center Library. Registration will be February 19 after mass.
- Class 1 – Mondays 5:00-6:30 p.m. Feb 27; Mar 6, 13, 20 & 27.
- Class 2 – Thursdays 9:30-11:00 a.m. Mar 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30.
Women Beyond Stereotypes: New Testament
This is a four-week course that tries to nuance our understanding of women’s role in salvation history. All classes will meet in the Aquinas Center Library. Registration will be April 2 after mass.
- Class 1 – Mondays 5:00-6:30 p.m. Apr 17 & 24; May 1 & 8
- Class 2 – Thursdays 9:30-11:00 a.m. Apr 20 & 27; May 4 & 11
The Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius Loyola
