First Holy Communion
The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life"
Holy Communion is one of the three sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Catholics believe that the Eucharist is truly the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Children usually begin preparation to receive their First Holy Communion in 2nd grade at age 7, however it is acceptable to begin at any age. During this time, they will also begin to prepare for their First Reconciliation (Confession). The program consists of two years of preparation following the guidelines and requirements of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
We also offer sacrament preparation for youth and adults.
