Mary Imaculata Hicks Rooney was a long time resident of Ojai California from 1971 until 1991.  She and her husband Jim Rooney lived across the street from the church on El Roblar.  Mary would walk to church for daily mass.  They were very active in the church. They moved to Visalia CA, when Jim retired from the school district.
Mary passed away peacefully in her home in Visalia on March 24, 2019.  She will be remembered by her loving husband,James, 14 children, 60 plus grandchildren and great grandchildren, her remaining siblings and lots of nieces and nephews.  Wife, mother, grandmother, sister,aunt, friend…She touched many with her gentle spirit and loving ways.
The services will be held in her honor at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church 1908 N. Court St. Visalia, CA 930291
Friday April 5, 2019 4:00-6:00 viewing, Rosary at 5:30
Reception to follow at Holy Family hall 6:00 to 8:00PM
Saturday April 6 10:00AM. Service at Holy Family Church and procession to cemetery following.
