Archbishop Gomez Urges Action On Immigration
Dear Friends,
These are challenging times in our country right now with the new Presidential orders on immigrants and refugees.
To assist us in supporting our brothers and sisters, our Office of Government and Community Relations and our Office of Life, Justice and Peace have created a special webpage that contains important resources for parishes, families and individuals. On this new page: archla.org/immigration and below you will find resources to help you learn more about the issues and resources that will enable you to get involved in your community and in communicating with your elected officials.
Also, here I include for your information my reflections on the President’s Executive Orders, in Spanish and English.
Archbishop Gomez’s Statement on the Executive Orders
Declaración de Arzobispo Gomez sobre las órdenes del poder ejecutivo
Please continue to pray with me, for our nation, and for our elected officials. With the guidance of Our Lady of Guadalupe, I pray that we might all work together to find a compassionate solution to the challenges of reforming our immigration and refugee systems.

Her mother, our daughter, Danielle, has taken Claire to a Gerson Wellness Clinic ( www.gersonclinic.com ) for a 3-week detox program...Read more

They will be doing extensive test on her in the next few days. I am asking once again if you will pray along with our family that the test results show that she is still cancer-free. Claire...Read more

My father Ralph Davis was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, May 23 at Kaiser Hospital, West Los Angeles. We expect he will be hospitalized for about three days. Recovery should take about six weeks and he will be at home in Los Angeles for this. Further treatment (if any) will be determined after the surgery. Please keep my dad in your prayers.Read more
